Dr. Nunnery is a board-certified physician in Family Medicine who grew up in Chicago, Illinois. She came to Texas for college and fell in love with the state.  She received her medical degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and completed her residency training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

Upon completion of her residency in Family Medicine, Dr. Nunnery joined the faculty of Baylor College of Medicine in the Department of Community Medicine.  Later, she left the department to enter private practice in Kingwood, Texas and is currently clinical faculty in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch. 

Dr. Nunnery has a passion for closing the health disparity gap and for improving patients’ access to care.  She uses telemedicine as an adjunct to care in her practice to enhance access to healthcare for her patients.

Dr. Nunnery is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine.  She is an officer in the National Medical Association (NMA) working side-by-side with African-American physician leaders to deliver quality continuing medical education to physicians.  In addition to activity in the Forum and the NMA, she is a member of the Texas Medical Association and the Mary Susan Moore Medical Society.  Dr. Nunnery is married with three beautiful children.  She enjoys watching her kids participate in sports and spending time with her family and friends.
